lol it's recorded for later.
It seems to go to all the trouble and have a modern engine and transmission plus modern manufacturing.
But I suppose a custom transmission would haev been a bit pricey! (and as dreadful as the original!)

I jsut need to add more tiny plates and rivets to the other side, mud guards, more rivets, a BESA to the hull...  probably other stuff.

Beautiful job, a great representation of a slightly unhinged project :-*

Will only get an undercoat for now.  Its going to Die Waffenkammer for casting so needs to be clean.

Plus my painting is woeful.

A true beast!
The gun of the T-34 is a bit long...

I was wondering if anyone would spot that... its a T-34/57 and the barrel is correct.  They were used as command vehicles and tank destroyers

Excellent.

Grandt line do a range of 1/48 scale detail parts that might be of use.

[Edit] okay the following are tichy trains not Grandt.

Near disaster averted. Undercoat came out really thick!  Rescued by IPA!

On hols for the rest of the week so no more play for now, obviously got some repairs and tidyup to do.

I've found a picture of the TOG2 mockup which has sponsons...  it's also got what looks like a Churchill turret.

Not sure of the original weapons but it looks like a 3" howitzer in the hull and another in the turret paired with a 2pdr.

I'll make this setup as a 'what if' for Seelowe.

The original loadout was:
3" howitzer in the hull
3" howitzer in the turret
2 pdr in the turret
BESA MG in the turet
4 BESA MGs in the sponsons

There was another turret with a 3" AA gun
And another with a 3" Howitzer a 2pdr and 2 BESA MGs.

I'll build the top version and maybe the bottom one...

While looking at another thread, I found these:
https://www.zinge.co.uk/collections/small-parts-forest-sprues/products/medium-1-5mm-round-head-rivet-sprue-x-100

They have a number of different rivets etc.
