Here is the start of my Warhammer 40000 Ork waaagh. Beginning with some Gretchin and a herder. Here is the first one "Shkul"

From the images the skin tones look a little flat - maybe another hightlight?

Here are some more pictures of my Gretchin:











The above pictures were all taken with my iPhone. The following are taken with my new camera a Sony Alpha 7.
The pictures were taken without a flash and only with the normal lighting of my hobby room no lightbox or additional lighting was necessary. The lens I used was a 50mm fixed focal lens by Sony and a macro spacer ring.

It was painted on a green undercoat . The first two colors the basecoat ( identical in this case with the undercoat) and the first highlight were done with an airbrush. The first highlight with an angle of 45 degrees from above. This was followed with a vallejo wash 50/50% umber and green wash, followed by a last highlight 50% basecoat green +50% lemon yellow. Hope that helps.
