15/18mm Old West Buildings - What d'you reckon?
« on: November 21, 2017, 12:13:07 PM »
Hi Folks,

I've just started up painting the Blue Moon 15mm old west range, so (of course) I'm now shopping for terrain. Does anyone know the best set of buildings that I can get in the UK (I know there is an Old Glory range but I can't get those easily). I do have a criteria:

I *hate* when minis are taller than doors and i base my minis on 2mm MDF, but I'll happily base buildings on 2mm too if that fixes the issue. That does mean that smaller, 'true' 15mm buildings won't work for me though (Does that mean I should discount the Peter Pig buildings?)

I'd like to get 5-8 from the same supplier (though I can happily duplicate simple clapboard buildings).

Even better if there's a good spanish/mexican adobe style range (I prefer those southern buildings to the wooden ones).

I should add I've got a desert terrain board, so AWI/Eastern Front style buildings don't really fit.

Any help appreciated.

I use Game craft buildings. You can see an example with Blue moon figs on my blog: https://mellis1644.wordpress.com/2015/05/08/cowboy-games-in-18mm-a-new-project/

The buildings are a little bit smallish but I added a base for support to them and that helped. They do not have lift off roof's either so that's an issue, depending on the type of game you play. Lift off roof's in 15mm are are though.

When playing with 15mm on the table these work great.

Sorry, just realised I replied to this in my other thread by mistake! Your Gamecraft buildings look great - shame they're US based but I'll bear them in mind if nothing else turns up.
