I think that the models used in the game were built specifically for it. However, Oshiro Models has a range of Chinese buildings: https://oshiromodels.wixsite.com/oshiromodelswebshop/chinese

Good call. I have their Japanese buildings and they're excellent.

Just spotted this on FB.  http://www.lulu.com/shop/andrew-mitchell/the-tigers-of-tonkin/hardcover/product-24162682.html?fbclid=IwAR3g5TjApoWxHR1gTTUlH0MhSsAiAiu-KvrxoxWoc-zMCdDuhtvCmadVFZ8

Received my book .Very well put together and didn't take very long to send it to me considering that they only print the the book as you order it.My one complaint is that the pages aren't numbered except for a couple which I thought as strange but overall I'm satisfied.
Mark.

I ordered that book too and really enjoyed it. Much of it is not about the 1880s Tonkin but WW2 however still very interesting. The Tonkin part has some nice detail on various battles though.

And yeah, I thought it weird that the pages were not numbered either. Don't think I've ever seen a book like that before  o_o

Hi Ged

Any progress on a “Wargamers Guide to...” for Tonkin? The lack of any comprehensive English language information on the campaign, actions and uniforms etc is the one thing holding me back.

I’m sure we’ll all have our preferences for rules for the period, but this would really help the range fly.

The Perry’s have published similar (but solely historical rather than gaming focused) for their Carlist, Cape Wars and Sudan ranges. Combine the detail of “Go Strong into the Desert” with 10-12 scenarios for Tonkin and I’m sure you’d be into a winner.
