The photos might be a bit crap but I've been on the piss with a mate, blame him  ;)

They're easy figures to paint Steve, but don't tell Nick  ;)

Especially like the mounted scout and and his horse but all are wonderfully painted.

And it illustrates one of our challenges in painting figures.  Some of those bright colors would sure stand out as targets which probably isn't how it was - but how do you get variety in figures if you don't reach into those vibrant colors?  I'd get tired of painting too many muted pastel tones.

Yeah, I'm painting Hollywood more than history, I think we all are really.

Cheers chaps or aho dekee as Geronimo would say (if he'd learned some Apache words off the internet  :D)   8)

Wow! Never thought that Dixon torture vignette could look so good!  Where did the mounted cavalry scout come from? Also Dixon?  Don't suppose any of this is going on eBay is it? Is this commission work or for your personal hoard? Very nice job!

Where did the mounted cavalry scout come from?

He's  the Texas Ranger from Gorgon Studios, he also comes in a dismounted version, excellent figure.

They're Malamutes' so they won't be going on ebay.

Cheers Ax  :)

Lucky Malamute! I actually was wondering about the mounted Indian scout. Where’s he from?

Cheers
