Characters for Sally 4th's Souk.
« on: November 26, 2017, 11:55:57 AM »
There was a little confusion,When Chris first released these.
Yes these are a nod to Casablanca. But they're not the original actors.
They're were intended to fill the Souk set from Sally 4th. Or if you were inclined they could stand in for Casablanca.
If your English you may notice its Johnny Vegas in a fez (a nod to a sit com, ideal.)
Also Chris hasn't noticed that his Victor is actually him.
As a said before I'm not a fan of 'Not 😉' figures. Yes I do like to sculpt in real people but not in familiar roles. Johnny Morris as a vet. Boris Karloff,as a Himalayan explorer.etc.
Okay there's set of Tin tin figures in the Follies . They were only intended for my son. It's peer pressure and pm bombing on the forum that got them moulded.
In fact I received another Tin tin related Pm on Friday.

Mark.

Sorry Chaps I'd not noticed Chris had already popped these pics I'd sent him. (one finger typing.) but the context is still the same.
Chris is posting as Casablanca nods which they are! I'm posting as a guess who I swapped in for the nod.

Dags your being a bit generous there . In a moment of weakness I used purity seal (rushing grabbed the wrong matt varnish tin) it went gloss and all the tones and shades went with it.( that stuff really doesn't like anything below 18'C).
Still I'm glad they've turned out reasonably well as the castings were dire.(second spin of the mould)
Andy its become a bit of staple. It's gone through four bases ,two have warped ,one cracked when dropped, the other one I've no idea. Took it out of the drawer for the photos (its hidden in one as it was always getting poked and prodded when people pop round.) it only had a couple tufts of static stuck on the edge of the wheels.Absolutely no idea when or why I've taken it off a base. But from now on its staying that way.
