Crooked Dice: Children of the Fields
« on: December 01, 2017, 10:19:17 AM »

This month we have the first of some of the sinister inhabitants of the village of Winterly also known as the Children of the Fields. The first pack includes the Crow King, Hurdy Gurdy Man and the Miller and his Wife. Expect to see lots more models from this folk horror cast in the new year as well as the accompanying programme guide.

Absolutely effing brilliant Karl.

My favourite TV character anywhere ever... It's a shame there's so little of him... But I have high hopes for the promised Christmas special  :)

I suspect his appeal is that there is so little of him; my favorite too, he can 'do things'.

That said there are so many options from that show for a 'folk horror' setting, before you even introduce the 'Children of the Fields'; though I recall the Farmer keeping someone captive as a scarecrow too.

Great-looking figures. Karl are you going for Morse, Edward Woodward's hapless Scots sergeant, or Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, to be the good guys?

I don’t know what he puts in his sausages but I’ve never seen finer.

That’s my Christmas present sorted  :)

I have been trying to purchase these on the website but every time I go to the shopping cart to pay I get a message saying that it's 'a local shop for local people only'.

No but I probably still count as a no-tail.

Honestly too horrific for me to want to own. Which is kind of weird, but there we go.

Back to painting deep ones and zombies.

This is just a saga now... just tell them the circus is coming to town.

Actually Karl, the Pandemonium Carnival (or something in the same spirit but more sinister) might make a great cast. It would make an ideal umbrella for various odd-ball individuals to join 7TV... and clowns; fear the clowns.
