Wings of Glory - Devon Wargames Group
« on: December 02, 2017, 08:58:19 AM »
This month at the Devon Wargames Group, one of the four games was this WWI Air set to using Wings of Glory rules and models over the very nice terrain mats available for the period.

Perhaps we are not that far away from a wargame in a box with everything you need to play there and ready to go.

It's in my top 10 wargames, purely as it's colourful and plays fast.

Like Von Lucky, I love this game because it's simple & fun - it's 'play-out-of-the-box' factor makes it a popular pick-up game at the local gaming group.
(That the group inhabits the function room of a pub leading to an amusing degredation of peoples ablity to judge maneuvers too o_o)

Still the best of the games using that concept.  Also the best looking.

I had literally every plane and release from the beginning until my divorce.
