Here is a pic of my British aerial gunboat. As yet the rudders are under design as is the final paint scheme. The crew are only half finished as well. I will have more pics soon

I LOVE the flying display base! :D

Seriously though, nice work! A bit chunky, so you might consider adding some fine detail like rivets and some handles.

Looks like it's coming together Fritzy!
I think it'll look pretty cool when it's finished.

If you need a hand painting/weathering when it's complete give me a shot.

Regards

The base was designed for  working on radio controlled cars and turns 360 degrees, so I can work on either side without lifting or touching the model.

Anything to try and stop getting more paint on me than the model

Cheers PM will take you up on that hopefully soon.

Here is my second gunboat for a Yankee ACW crew. As yet it is a basic hull waiting on raillings, lots of detailing etc. This was my first time using foamboard. The hull is a bit on the deep side but ok.
There are portholes, bow anchors, 4 gun mounts and a search light, and maybe bomb racks out the sides. Just got to get to the model shop for supplies.

You are gonna need one heck of big table when it comes to gaming with these fellas.

28mm Naval (or VSF aerial/naval) gaming is great fun when you have enough space for it. Fortunately I do, and hope to run another lake battle game very soon.

I was thinking of using them for close combat/boarding actions and smaller models for the hunting down of the enemy. Maybe use them against ground defenses and troops. If I end up with a lot of them I'll have to cover the garden over

Nice Work!

Airships is an area of modelling I'm yet to have a go at but I am looking forward to it.
