The Coloured-In Android Collective (Mk 16 Fire Rescue)
« on: December 07, 2017, 11:18:21 AM »
As I am starting to put brush to the metal on a few more of these big-headed fellas I thought now would be the time to start a thread to chart the progress.

Here are the painted versions of the first seven models from the Android Collective before I take pictures of the rest as they are finished (which will be in no particular order)....

They all look excellent BUT you need to change a few poses.

Maybe you could chase that up for a future kickstarter (army of droids?) :)

Thanks, chaps.
 :)

Mk 3 in black with neon green sense/face plate looks very dashing!

Cheers!
I am actually working on another model with a face plate of a different design at this moment.
I am hoping to achieve a different kind of look on this one.

There are a few slightly different poses now, but as they are all 'Andy' models, I do not want to alter things too much and lose the 'look' of them.
The Second Collective, which I am colouring in a few of at this moment, had a few slightly different poses...

Finally, another one gets introduced to Mr Brush....

MK 16 'The Fire Rescue model.....

This model is made from an extremely heat-resistant alloy and usually has the appearance of wearing the uniform of a traditional Firefighter, with a yellow 'helmet' making them very distinct in an emergency situation  They also feature a removable fireproof 'cloak' that can be wrapped around a living creature that is being carried to safety from a conflagration, whilst the detachable 'mask' on their 'face' can deliver a supply of whatever combination of gases are needed to keep the rescued alive.

This model was originally designed to have a yellow 'helmet' for easy identification, but as this always blackened quickly when in use the black variant was adopted instead....
