"Once I've finished the Eureka Russians..."  So what do you think of Eureka's Russians? How do they compare size-wise to other makes and how is the detail (in the photos, they look good). I was thinking of getting some next time Nic travels to Salute in London in 2018....so your insight would be much appreciated. :)

I have them as well. Height wise they will mix with Artizan and Crusader. Proportions are typical Eureka, so not as chunky as the aforementioned. They seem to mix fairly well with all the other ranges I have, including Tsuba, Warlord Wargames Factory etc.

Detail and sculpting is superb. There simply aren't any better sculpted 28mm WW2 Russians out there.  Do bear in mind they are all in 1943 uniforms , save, curiously enough for the Maxim gunners and mortar crew which have the earlier pattern blouse with turn down collar. As the ones not in padded jackets tend to have blanket rolls, it's easy enough to fudge if you want earlier troops. Naturally enough they'll mix with the Tsuba Romanians.

Very nice figures indeed.

... Next we need a dedicated range of Hungarians!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, that I would buy without hesitation! ;)
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

A range of Hungarians early/mid war is being designed as we speak that should be available in the spring of next year?
Now listen to me you benighted muckers. We're going to teach you soldiering. The world's noblest profession. When we're done with you, you'll be able to slaughter your enemies like civilized men.

The designer hasn't specified but I hope so ....the Tsuba casting does look rather good?

Fingers crossed that the Hungarians will be for the early war, with the distinctive breeches that are tight in the calves and ankle boots. Late war Hungarians can be cobbled together from existing ranges of Germans but the early-mid war look would be unique and I'd love some more opposition for my Czechs/ Slovaks.

I wouldn't say no to the odd distinctively Hungarian late war figure though?

I know some companies are not officially open for business until the 8th of January.

Indeed, the UK is pretty much on holiday between 24th December to 2nd January and as UVS says, some folk push that out to the first week of January too.
