28mm MkVI Light Tanks for the Desert
« on: December 07, 2017, 05:17:17 PM »

https://yarkshiregamer.blogspot.co.uk/2017/12/mark-vi-lt-tanks-for-19401-desert.html

A quick show off post today for some early war British Light "Armour".

We have a Desert Campaign starting soon so these will be in action in a couple of weeks time along with a new CS9 Armoured Car (also on the blog post).

The models are 28mm Warlord Games with a mix of Warlord and Perry Commanders.

With the recent Blitzkrieg Miniatures offers I have got a house full of early war vehicles, so this is a good start.

All the best

Ken

Love your painting on your new tanks.
Went and checked over your collection of WWII desert stuff.
Very nice. Lots of cool toys.

These little tanks have a flair of their own, I just like Early War tanks - and they are painted very nice too!

Thanks very much everyone,

there is definitely a charm to the early war stuff, after years of playing 44 Western Front with Tigers and Panthers everywhere I got a bit fed up of the uber tank race so when we where looking for something different to do WW2 wise Early War Desert was a great choice.

Nothing post 31 Dec 1941 is allowed on the table, so Honeys are the top British Tanks, you can't even have a long barrel PzIII !

Lots more Desert stuff coming up soon.
