Stuck the walls together, added a base and put in the post and rails ready to take the fence boards.

Slow progress.

It was going to be an office for a Lumber yard, but it's turned out bigger than I'd planned so it's going to be a store of some sort - I'll do magnetic signs like I did on the shack so it can change to suit the scenario

Fence is done and an alternative window added at the front - the original 8 pane was too small so I made a 12 pane instead.

Just needs a roof, some detail painting and the groundwork then it's done.

Superb work, Dr De'Ath! Are you using balsa wood, staining it with inks? Looks quite realistic ...

Thanks.

Yes, mostly balsa wood or firelighting splints.  I'm pre-staining it with 'antique pine' wood varnish thinned 50/50 with water as a base coat, then going over individual planks with the same mix or using inks to get slightly darker shades.

For the fence panels I cut a quantity to length, put them in a ziplock bag with some of the 50/50 varnish/water mix, sealed it and shook it.  Then I lay them on a paper towel to dry; they need a bit of a rub with the paper towel to remove the excess and separate them, but this is by far the quickest way I've found for bulk painting them.  Also, by mixing the ratio of varnish to waters and/or adding inks to the mix, I can get a slightly different shade, so I've been doing three different batches then mixing them all up when dry to give be some variation in the fence.

Ah! The famous 'Dr De'Ath (Patented) Shake and Vac Method', I thought I recognised the effect.
