Lucid Eye, Bronze Age, Copplestone, compatible?
« on: December 12, 2017, 09:22:25 PM »
All,  I want to add some cavemen to my pulp games.  My figures are mostly, Brigade, Artisan and Statuesque (pulp alley). Will cavemen from any or all of the above work together with these?

Indeed, Bronze Age is a bit big. Their nordic shield maidens, however, work very well as ice giants for 28mm  :). So with some imagination, I can see a band of Bronze Age cavemen as a really big tribe in stature (origins of giants in folklore?). In that case I could see them working with other lines.
You go to war with the figures you have, not the figures you wish you had!

You'll be in great company with Copplestone's Cavewomen AND the gorgeous Barbarian Queen;)

Iron age clearly came early to these stone people!

What about Hasslefree "Boudi".  Has a spear so could fit with cave people or barbarian queen.
I don't know how this might fir with your other ranges.

"Boudi" is very, very nice mini (Hasslefree girls are all superb sculpts and full of character), and in the small size of 28mm - but her proportions are so good that she will fit well with the Copplestone cavegirls, since not every human being has the same height and built. But she's wearing a wool kilt with a very medieval-looking metal belt buckle, and holds a metal-tipped spear, so a little greenstuff will be needed to make her look more "primitive".

This lady from Tin Man Miniatures is also a gorgeous sculpt, lean and tall as a supermodel (at 32mm) and a great cavegirl character that also fits well with the Copplestone one IMHO (specially without its original base):

Found a painted picture of the "adult version" here: http://shadowking-shadowkings.blogspot.com.br/2012/11/pathfinder-gor-kradschutzen-platoon.html

I've just finsihed reading Lin Carter's "Zanathadon" series, so my head is rather full of images of lithe, supple cave girls.  :)

I have both and will try to make a picture before going to bed. As far as their barbarians are concerned Bronze Age and Copplestone fit pretty well.

A quick shot, poorly lightened and not with my best paintjobs, but it should make clear, how  Copplestone and Bronze Age look next to each other.

Two Copplestone/Grenadier barbarians vs. a Bronze Age elf and barbarian (From left to right: Copplestone barbarian champion, BA not-Bakshi barbarian, Copplestone barbarian character, BA elf)
