CRIMBO WARGAME...
« on: December 15, 2017, 11:03:31 PM »
I'm suspicioned this might be Wild West themed... loosely!
Along the lines of Charles Grant's treasure hunt game from his 'Wargame Scenarios' book. I've been working on the ultimate reincarnation of The Great Lame Beaver, a Redskin about as lucky on the wargames table as Black Kettle was in real life. Even the Dynamic Dunderheads crow that my six previous efforts were painted with squawpaint instead of warpaint, not this one though, he's a Foundry Warrior, and looks the dogs!
Kind of 'The Hunt For The Great Lame Beaver' which will have the Dunderheads, wandering aimlessly about as usual, encountering various naughties (Daleks, rattlesnakes and a psycho Santa toting a Bazooka) before finally... the big showdown with Himself!

:o Just how hard can it be?  :o

I've played this 'treasure hunt' scenario with a bunch of yapping 10 year olds at Triples many years ago, they gormed it in seconds... but even that didn't prepare me for the Dynamic Dunderheads mind boggling take on events!!!
You get the first clue (hidden by a scout beneath a marked rock) at 1 this clue sent you scuttling off to 2 to find another clue which sent you back to 3, at 3 you found the final clue. This clue sent you to the disused mine (4) where The Great Lame Beaver was to be discovered, killed, scalped and then the scalpees had to make it back to their respective 5s to win the game... rocket science it bleedin' aint!!!
