Which reminds me I need to post a pic of the Safari Ltd models next to humans for scale comparison.

That would be great, thank you in advance!  ;)

Ha! I think we are all susceptible to a variety of rabbit holes...

Happy to share and see the comments coming back.
For the assorted mammals shown above:

Woolly Rhinos: Deezee Miniatures and Acheson Creations (metal and resin)
Elasmotherium: Deezee Miniatures (metal)
Megaloceros: Acheson Creations (metal two poses available)
Black (water) buffaloes: Mojo Minis (plastic)
Bison: Old Glory (metal)
Horses: Mojo Minis (plastic)
Dire Wolves: North Star? (not sure) (metal)
Cats: Reaper, Iron Wind, Ral Partha (metal)
Hyenas: Iron Wind (I think) (metal)

For big cats, wolves, and hyenas, there are a variety of sources - too many to list.
Acheson is only one that does the Megaloceros (that I know of)
For Bison there are also several sources.
Horses - could use a zebra model, but modern zebras are smaller then Pleistocene horses. I like the Mojo Minis Zebras repainted as horses, they are a bit larger than a 28mm horse, and fits my impression of that ice age species. (Got to have that stiff mane, so modern horses will not work.)

So looking at additional / eligible animals:

Aurochs -  Eureka has a nice family set (bull, cow and calf) -  I have a couple sets in the pain queue.
Giant Sloth - Toobs does one, but is smallish, so would work as a juvenile. Reaper I think is doing one on the current Bones KS.
Reindeer - I just picked up some of Eureka's models

That's all I can think of at the moment, I probably have more stuff in my Ice Age animals box.

Thanks a lot, that's very good of you and also very helpful
Cheers

Here's some mods I did for some of my hunters.

Left: Reaper - these two are from "caveman dragging woman" blister; I separated the figures and added the spears.
Right: Ral Partha - added some flames

Left: Copplestone Cave Women - added some PG rated furs
Right: Reaper - added flames and repositioned one arm.

Finished products, pics not the best- a little off in color balance and overexposed...

Reaper:

Copplestone:

Appreciate all the comments. Glad to see the interest in this thread.

Yes, I really did tweak a few of the Copplestone gals. Not to worry, though, I have two more sets (au naturale) in the painting queue...  :D

I'm always looking to minimize duplication of figures, and it is much easier to add than remove (not that there was that much available to remove here...hmmm... let me think about this for a bit.)  8)

Speaking of Raquel, I'll have to review my figures and see if I can come up with something to match that classic pose of hers, and try model some furs to match.

Open invitation to any LAFers passing through Colorado, happy to host a gaming session.

The tribe, which they called The Tribe...

Figures from Pulp Figures, Copplestone and Reaper.

Still have characters (chief, shaman, old women, children, etc.) to finish up.
