Great idea Rui.

Pictish figurines are a must for zealot ambushers/conspirators...

Indeed they are Eric. :)

Here are the first 2 conversions finished.
The first is already introduced and the second is a thracian body from Lucid Eye and a head from a GB plastic arab plus cloak sculped and dagger glued on the left hand. He is intended to be a Sicari. :)

Wow! :o

Really impressed! Especially since I was just trying some conversion today. This stuff (the green as well as doing it) is really difficult. I was trying to convert some old Wargames Factory Dark Age Warriors into Late Roman sailors with floppy hats and sagum. After a few of those, I had to put them down... let's just say it's a good thing the hats are, um, floppy.

So I come on here and see some really fine conversion work and I can appreciate it how much effort it is after trying to do it myself today.

Cheers!

OMG those jews are revolting! :p

Get it? - I'll show myself out.

Bad jokes aside those are some fine conversions, great effects with relatively little sculpting required. You seem to have an eye for kitbashing :)

Have you considered the Perry plastic Mahdists? I've seem them used for all sorts of things, including dark age Irish.

Haha, I am afraid mine will not really make use of so many cloaks and head wraps.  I'm going for more the poor skirmishers / common person and not so much the Zealot / sicarii look.  I'll have a unit of camels in there though.

Will be sharing when I get to around it.  Cheers!

I would be heavily influenced by the People's Front Of Judea for my figures if I did this project...would have to have some women disguised with fake beards and one carrying a sick donkey on her shoulders..
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt
