10mm Cold War Minis from PSC
« on: December 27, 2017, 08:30:39 AM »
Saw a cryptic note on their website, mentioning more info about their 10mm Cold War plastics releases, after the new year.

Can't wait to see what they have to offer, and how soon it will be made available.

Hoping for some new minis at affordable prices, that various companies don't currently produce, or that could use a bit of improvement on, in terms of quality, relative to their sales price.

Really hoping for M60A1s, and West German, Marder IFVs (sadly, only post-Cold War Marders are available in metal) and Spz Kurz recon vehicles, with 20mm cannons, amongst others (Spz Kurz Beob and 81mm mortar carriers too).  Could also use some West German JgPz Raketes with SS-11, and/or HOT/TOW, and BO-105 attack helos with HOT missiles.  AH-1G, and AH-1S Cobra Attack helos would be much appreciated too.

Might be worth dropping them a note, to let them know what you want as well, like some of us have done already, when they inquired to see if there is interest in 10mm minis for the Cold War.

Hope too, that their definition of 10mm = 1/144th scale.

Apparently, Timecast will also be releasing some new Cold War American and West German vehicles and troops too, but I don't know what their current timeline for making those available is.

Sounds interesting. Will make medium scale moderns look good.

Hope too, that their definition of 10mm = 1/144th scale.

And agree - there's enough out there to make this interesting.

Latest posting from their main page:

"10mm plastic Cold War and Battlegroup Northag:-

Northag will definitely happen - development work and playtesting continues
Still conducting feasibility on 10mm plastic but looking good for a starter set Kickstarter later in the year..................".

Can't wait for more info.

Timecast are working on their stuff too, with American troop sculpting near completion, and reports are they look very nice.  Vehicles are coming soon.

Bundeswehr, hopefully, towards the end of this year.

Still hoping for a proper, Cold War Marder IFV, and the little Spz Kurz with 20mm cannon, for a nice recon vehicle.  The latter were used up until the early-mid 1980s, apparently, in the recon units, and there were a number of variants too, including 81mm mortar carrier, observation vehicle, ammo carrier, ambulance, etc., etc..

Looking forward to a nice, plastic, or metal, M60A1, or M60A3 as well, for the Americans.
