I have a few ponderings about what I could do.
Frankenstein's monster (either still on the table or recently awakened)
Or
Stream crossing with some nasties in the river.

I may have more ideas later. But that is what I am thinking at the moment.

So I think I'll be doing a Ropeswing over some sort of creature infested waters. Basically I'll be sculpting some things that looks like angler fish in a stream with a tree overhanging it with a rope attached. I plan on having an Iron Golem and it's kid handler about to have a go on it while ignoring the Warning signs. More of a diorama I guess but still building something :)

I've started on the Iron Golem. 3d Printing this one. I may do a few versions and pick which one I like.
Very basic at the moment.
I'm using Tinkercad to make this. It is basically playing with blocks.
So for the body I have a series of ovals that get smaller and smaller for the torso. The head is a cylinder. I'm not sure about the shoulders. I think I'll redo them.

Added a waist using a cone with the pointy part widened out. I also put together a cylinder and a box to act as some sort of Powerpack on the back. I guess this is becoming kind of steampunkish now. I'll have to add some pipes to this. If I can't work them 3d printed I'll just make some GS ones.

So this next picture shows me taking out a section of the torso. I created a trapezium prism sort of thing and then duplicated it and enlarged it. The smaller piece made a "hole" (subtracts from another model) and the other I kept as an additive piece. I joined it to the rest of the Golem.

Thanks for the pics and progress shots.
I am curious as to exactly how this 3D printing witchcraft works.
Is it simply a case of selecting a shape from a menu, adjusting the size and then orientating it to the desired position and then making adjustments from there?

Looking good so far.

depends on what program you use mason. But essentially yes, that is one of the methods you can use. The other usual method is via sketches which my build will show.

I look forward to seeing that then.
I have absolutely no idea about 3D printing etc, so am very curious about the process.

I think I'll be taking notes. I bought a Prusa 3D kit, and assembled it. I only found time to fire it up for the first time last Friday, and still need to calibrate it before trying it out; so this'll be useful. I will not be using it for this BSC definitely - not enough time to learn.

So I forgot to do this more step by step but first I made a cylinder with a lot of shorter but wider cylinders attach to it to create something like piping or a power centre.
I copied it 2 times and then I added them to the model by using a couple of large boxes to subtract the excess overhang so that it fits nicely into the rest of the model. I had to select the 3 orange cylinders and the 2 subtractive boxes and click the group button. I then added it to the rest of the design.

I really do appreciate seeing this process in such detail.
Looking good, sir.
