Cheapish hedges
« on: January 01, 2018, 08:16:37 PM »
I saw a post on FB that brought my attention to a product called 'Moss Roll'

It's 60mm wide and 900mm long on a roll. £2.49 each from Dunelm Mill in the fake flowers section. The backing is a soft metal(?) mesh with a heavy coating of mid-green flock, which does shed a lot, but save it for infills and spare.

It can be used folded up or over a foam spine to make hedges, but also for tree foliage on an armature, pulled open a bit for camo netting on gun emplacements etc.

It's worth a look at imho.

And I know it would be a better recommendation if I Actually had a picture to show you, sorry

lol yes a picture would be good but it does sound like a cheap way to make hedges (If you can get some photos that would be great).

I think it is the following the OP is referring to

I like my games like my orange juice: pulpy with no added sugar or artificial sweeteners

Flatpack recommended this to me about a month ago, but I have yet to find it in my local Dunelm store.
He has achieved some good results with it.

@gnomehome, that's the stuff, thanks for taking the time to link it. The roll I have unwrapped has a lot more flock on it than that, but it did shed a lot just while looking at it.

I find the way forums make you host photos very unhelpful in passing on info, but my cack handed Internet skills dont help....
