Great work  :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
You do realise you won't be allowed sharp objects around the house now so you will need to give all your stuff to me to look after :D
That includes models with sharp points like that one

 lol he's right you know!

Looking really good Andy.

Can you use a half buried Statue of Liberty in VBCW?

This is looking incredible!  I've often wondered about that foamed pvc as a material but have never gotten around to buying some to try out, looks really good.

You probably don’t need to buy it. It’s the same stuff that a lot of signs are made of. We use them in our work for CCTV warning signs.

Well gentlemen, thanks for all your support, the build is now finished, painted, pictured and sent off! :D I’ve got some new family commitments coming this week, so I’ve had to finish quickly! ;) I’ll not show any more pics until after the competition is finished!

Good luck to everyone!

Blimey, that was quick, mate.
 :o :o

You will be giving Giles a funny turn with that kind of speed.
I guess you have had your arm twisted to get it done somewhat, though, eh?
 ;)

Speaking of which: Good Luck with the new project.
I hope everything goes as smoothly as it possibly can.

Still trying to get hold of the submitted pic  :( - could you resubmit to buildsomething@leadadventureforum.com, just in case retrieval proves impossible?

I meant to ask, should there be an automatic reply to the submission email?

No idea - I'm learning as I go along; I will be checking the entries in minutes and will confirm.

And checked - pic received, and I sent in a reply as well. Nice work too  8) 8)

That is an amazing build. :o :-*  It's got lots of character that fits in so well with your board. Kudos!  Hopefully you'll post a shot of her backside.

Thanks Braz and thanks again to everyone that voted for me!

So now that it's over, I can show more pictures.

The face was filled out more, so that it no longer looks like Daniel Craig! ;)

Then some paint was applied. This was actually very easy. I first sprayed black the sprayed white, but straight down over the top, no more than 45 degrees out to each side. I believe this is called zenthinal highlights. Then it was just a case of doing a kinda gree/turquoise wash and some darker lines for weathering. The concrete is just household paint testers. Some stone grey and beige to highlight.

Thanks to Steve(Elk101) for the idea of the "Damn dirty apes" quote! And the "liberty isn't free" I'm sure was from a Judge Dredd comic.
