Well, I bookmarked a bunch of them, and ordered a pair of schwimmwagens (so I can waterline one).

Might just order the Ainsty launch from Recreational Conflict, too.

If a Schwimmwagen is not big enough, there are always LVTs:

This lot might be worth a look, although some of them are not cheap

Matchbox speed boats are also cool - and quite cheap.

And finally Barrage Miniatures also do a few waterline models too.

It's not big, or clever, but let's do it anyway

Sorry should have mentioned it'll be at 1st corps miniatures.

If your up for a giggle I'll do a 'tales from the tin shed' thread.
As I'm confident you could make a waterline amphibious car,and or speed boat from a cereal packet.

You're likely not incorrect, I always try to balance cost of buying one and converting versus scratchbuilding in both money AND time.  I could, but do I want to?

That airboat is awesome, but I wouldn't be able to play on it without screaming "Whoo!" like Archer.

If you are still looking for swimwagons checkout diecastdirect.com under military at least in 1/43.

So, I ordered a few things that were mentioned here.

Schwimmwaggen - gorgeous kit, completely unsuitable for the purpose I had in mind.  I always forget that Tamiya kits are for modelers, not wargamers. Too many tiny bits thta will snap as soon as we touch it, and it was small, too small, even at 1/48 scale. I built one of the two I bought, and I am still considering what I am going to do to the other kit to make it more robust for my purposes.

Ainsty river launch - this thing is gorgeous.  Recommend highly.

This baby got a camo paint scheme - I felt if you were using a boat this size in the post-apoc, you would want to be able to hide against the shore.  I also added a few bits and bobs, like the searchlights and the toolchest.

That does look might fine. Shame about the Schwimmwagen being to small.

Yeah, me too. It's one of those models that seems to paint itself.

Ooooooooo... :o   When?  And from who?

Tin Shed's stuff USUALLY comes out with 1st Corps. I guess he can let us know for sure.

He's not wrong you know  :D

If its WW1,Follies,or a cunning plan, Simon at 1st corps is happy to cast them .other stuff ,tends to be with other companies.
They're cast ,I've not Spoken to Simon too see if he had any cast up for the cancelled Hammerhead show.
But an email might be worth a try.
I've only the first two castings undercoated(way behind with painting.) but here's pic (more on the Pulp board)
