Though I really like the setting of the Red Guard the black shading spoils it for me, so I went for the Saxons 8)
Let me hear the battle cry
Calling on the wind
Let me see the banners fly
Before the storm begins

Tough choice. In the end I voted for the Red Guard because they are very original in theme and looks. Never imagined anything like that when I read 'Red Guard'.

Nice entries. The harsh shades were the tie-breaker imho.

Just a question:
The 2 bikini clad figures [in white and sky blue one] are the enemies???

Yes  lol
Obviously that visual story didn't work too well!

In truth I have to agree that I left rather too much of the dark undercoat left showing through on these figures. Unfortunately the picture accentuates this. I promise you it doesn't look so stark 'in the flesh'.

Great job to both of you. I am not so keen on all of the black on the skin tones and the red uniforms. The subtle look of the Saxons is very nice and well shaded. Sterling Moose...keep your coat off, there still may be a chance!!

Agree on the black shading - looks like they've come out of a coal mine.
