Greenstuff not curing properly when older?
« on: January 11, 2018, 09:38:08 AM »
I sculpted a few bits for my next project and used green stuff I had at home for a bit longer. It is about 2 years old. You can mix it not as easily as fresh green stuff but it works. Now after 24h curing time it is still a bit soft and bendy. Is that because it is to old to be used? I thought it would get hard and 'unmixable ' by time?

The more yellow you use, the more flexible it remains. Maybe that's the case here too?

I usually use about 2/5 yellow with 3/5 blue to get it to harden that little bit more.

And I've used greenstuff that has been near to a decade old and it still works just fine. But I do store it in an airtight, dark container all the time, in a drawer that makes for a reasonably cool and temperature stable environment...

Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...
