Those fishmen are fantastic sculpts and the paintjobs is very nice too! The lack of basing and the fact the second photo is almost perfect in scene, setting and color made me vote for the second entry.

I almost voted for the first because the models and paintjobs are just so vicious and cool, but in the end I had to admit the overall photo of the second entry was just better.

I expect the fish to be based and really finished in the future though, they are really great!

Again a tough choice. The fishmen are looking really good. But this applies to the other minaitures also. Since they are based and there's a nice diorama, that decided the outcome.

Froggy, you had my vote all the way until I saw the bases...
That being said, I love the play on the German-theme using non-human/humanoids (seeing as I did the same, it did help swing my vote)

The bases are actually painted, with at least three-stage highlighting. It is apparently way too subtle.

I guess so, now that you mention it it seems you painted a water motif on it, but at first glance it looks like a black base with some green smudges from the models' paint. A better background would really help too. Still a great entry though!

After I see the fishmen I vote for the fishmen .
Why?
because they are very good painted and they are conversion and the picture is very clear photograph.
My one is a bit out of focus .

The fishies are really nicely painted, but so are Grimm's germans. And he adds some scenery, and, what counts most for ME, a nice little story ... So, that's why I vote for him.
