Hard choice! These are well matched and I find it hard to pick a clear winner. In the end the second one won my vote because the photo is much better has a nice and clear shot.

It is really a hard choice.
The 2nd photo is much better, so it captures you.

[the other problem I have is that I do not like zombies etc]

I like the look of the second group. More shading or dip would make the miniatures pop though. Thanks to both of you for your entries.

Nice figs.

Thanks Ray (and the others) for the nice comments. I don?t know if I?m getting better but I do get faster! I choose to paint this new little group despite the fact that I have tons of already painted German figures and that I had very little time to finish them. After all one of the purpose of the LPL is to reduce the size of the lead mountain by painting new figures? isn?t it? By the way, did anyone but me notice that I forget to paint the insignias on the Officer?s cap?  :-[

Nice gents like a before and after shot :D

lol ...Once where a squad of German soldiers lost in the foggy mountains of?

I get that comment a lot. I don?t really know why but I?ve always been "shy" about painting shading and highlight? I really need to work on that aspect of painting? but don?t hold your breath! lol

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

Likewise :)  I really like the neat style of your chaps - they come together really well as a unit.  And the bases are nicely balanced.  Are they the litko ones?

The mortar base is a homemade one with a layer of  plasticard and a layer of magnet sheet. You?re right though about the other bases they are Litko (1.5mm, 7/8? diameter).

Its that odd distinctive way that they cut circles with little straight lines that gives it away ;)
