Here is the Empress T55 painted as a Tier three tank in the Twilight War.

This has none of the upgrades that would have been on Tier Two vehicles, but by this point if it moves and shoots it went to the front.

This vehicle (originally for export) lacks the radiation shielding on the turret roof.

It is awaiting the fitting of the unditching beam.

Nice work.  Glad to see this project reappear - I'm about to get my hobby space back so I think my 90's kit is going to jump up the pecking order once a couple of bits started pre-kitchen renovation have been polished off, especially seeing as the beta pdf of 4th ed should drop next month...

This has been a bit dormant for a while (two and a half years), but...

After "One Thing and Another", and before the current unpleasantness, Empress released a range of Cold War Soviet Paratroopers as opposition to their BAOR British infantry. I ordered them back in February (2023). So they do not have to walk very far, and to give them some punch, here is the Empress BMD-1.

With William Killian for scale.

It is not finished, there is some extensive weathering to finish (it has just forged a river with muddy banks).

The cables are brass wire, the wire ends are inserted into holes drilled in the hull. The end of the wire  is covered with Rubicon cable ends. The end opposite to the loop is hollow and it covers the end of the wire.

This shows the rotating periscope added to the rear hatch and the two fixed periscopes added to the deck, plus the aerial on the rear deck.

Thanks to Paul at Empress for getting me back into gear.

Now I have to start on the VDV (and the rest of the backlog). Oh, and there is Salute on Saturday...

There's some good stuff in this thread.  Looking forward to seeing that BMD done - but it looks good so far!

Some very nice stuff in there; very enticing to be honest.

I'm running a T2K campaign right now. I got the urge to do so after pledging on the Kickstarter for the reboot of the game. I must say the new system works pretty well, although it's more book keeping than my group was used to.

From the start I've told both my group and myself that there will not be any miniatures with this campaign. The new boxed set provided me with sturdy tokens and nice map sections for each encounter, and they've been more than adequate so far.

But then I've had this beginning of a Dutch force for Team Yankee stashed for years, so I finally caved and started on that. And now I find this thread and ideas of 28mm minis are starting to percolate.

You know; just the PC's, some NPC's, and some generic OPFOR. But then I would also need their vehicle, and something to oppose that. And then some terrain to go with the minis, and, and, and... ::) :D

Great thread, but I'm doing my very best to remain a spectator when it comes to this scale and period... ;)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...
