Very nice finish on the desert house. I'll have to check out Supreme Littleness again - not looked at their site for a while, it sounds like they have produced lots of new stuff.

This is the same technique as the Crescent stuff.( my six year old enjoyed doing these. To the point every thing has them in.Even my WW1 lorries.)

What a terrifically simple idea! In the flesh, could they pass for fruit and the like, or are they a bit too shiny for that?

Either way I need some jewelry-looking stuff to fill my boxes. Looks like another Amazon order for me.

These are done with the metallic foam clay .
Six year olds don't worry about things likes this( Apparently I can make them un shiny if I like.)

He's got a point. You can get larger foam beaded clay,and non metallics.

They take a light dry brush and a wipe over with acrylics.
I'll be painting the boxes and toneing down their contents. After the York show. If your interested I'll add some pictures of the tweaked versions.

How did your lad go about doing these? A blob of clay or something with these on top? Or are they all loose inside?

My versions I used a cheap grout to cover the MDF, and was pleased with how they turned out.

It looks great. I have been thinking about using sanded grout for terrain projects as it comes in a variety of colours.
