Another great report...and another bloodbath!  :o

Has anybody permanently lost a Heritor or Warden in your campaign, yet?

Thanks, Mike!   It certainly was.  I don't want to ever do that again. o_o

Knabe lost his Warden in the previous game (The Drichean Cages).  If you go back to the previous page, you can find the link to his report.  He debuted his new Warden in this recent Floating Hulk game, after mag a trip back to the mainland.  He should be around any day now to post his new report. :)
I realized I was playing too fast and loose with them, and need to start making better decisions on how to deploy them.  This last game certainly was a wakeup call!  :)

We had our 5th game this past Saturday, and oh my, what a fiasco!   I need to learn how to start rolling dice better...  ;D

"...Distracted by this new threat, the Wasp turned from the Archer and in a flash grabbed the unfortunate Crewman with two of it's good legs, and swinging it's body forward thrust it's long saber like stinger into Vilkse, before he even knew what hit him. The Elf crumpled to the ground, a gaping wound in his chest.  Salin now came up to join the fight, and swung wildly at the insect, his sword hitting, but not cutting into the beast's chitinous body. As the Beast turned to face this new threat, Randy saw his chance, and plunged his dagger into the Wasp's side... "

your write-ups are so good, that they go a long way in making up for my lack of games of late.

Thanks for the kind words regarding the write-ups.   I'm glad to hear they are serving as an inspiration.   Yes, I really have a hard luck Heritor this time.  I was rather successful with my Wizards and warbands in our last two Frostgrave Campaigns, so not really sure what's going on this time.   Not sure if I'm playing wrong, or just am under a gaming black cloud at the moment.

Hopefully Knabe (Skorri) should be along with his report sometime soon...

Well Skorri finally put quill to parchment and completed his log of his last expedition to one of the jungle covered islands of the Ghost Archipelago chain:  http://wargamingnotes.blogspot.com/2018/05/ghost-archipelago-campaign-game-5.html

Hope you enjoy it!

Skorri retrieves a treasure from Fortrywn's crew less than an inch from getting away (off the board).

We played the 6th game of our Campaign this past weekend and did the Blood Totems scenario from the core rulebook. It went really well.

My Elf Heritor's report and a bunch of photos have been posted on my blog: http://onemoregamingproject.blogspot.com/2018/06/ghost-archipelago-campaign-18-game-6.html

"...Marny was still in the other valley with Finil. She raised her hands to cast another Bramble spell, making sure the valley was well sealed off. As the Warden finished, there was a sharp pain above her hip that quickly turned into a hot searing fire radiating up her back and down her right leg. (-8 HP and Poisoned) She let out a cry as she stumbled forward and fell to the ground. Finil immediately saw the arrow sticking from her, and instinctively looked for the shooter. There behind them, coming up near where they had entered the valley, was another Tribal Hunter. Marny soon felt her stomach flipping over and a sourness rising in her throat. Finil helped her pull the arrow. "Some cover would be good now perhaps." he said through clenched teeth as he worked on her. From her position on the ground, she weakly raised an arm towards the Tribal, and began the chant for the Brambles spell; but halfway through the spell her stomach inverted itself, the ground beneath her heaved, and turning her head, she vomited violently onto the valley floor. "Stay here." Finil said, and rushed off to face the Tribal Hunter himself. Seeing the Elf charging him, the Hunter quickly fired another arrow, hitting Finil..."

Thank you, Bloggard!

Also thanks for the comment on the statue.  It is from an old plaster scenery company called Otherworld Artifacts, and dates to the 80's I believe.
