A Fistful of Games
« on: January 28, 2018, 07:45:45 AM »
Yesterday a group of us had Old West themed 'Fistful of Games' mini-BLAM in Surbiton using the excellent Fistful of Lead Reloaded rules.  Much fun was had by all.

Here's a few pictures of games in progress on the three different tables we set up for the event.

Photos of my recent efforts are at www.littleleadmen.com and https://beaverlickfalls.blogspot.com

Some great looking games there, and I’m glad you enjoyed the rules.
I’ve bought the rules, but not played them yet.

My favourite pic:

“Big” Jake Morrison goes up against Jim “The Kid” Miller

A good day was had by all.

Fistful of lead is an excellent set of rules.  Quick to learn, easy to play and  fast flowing,  full of furious gun play. The card activation mechanic  is excellent, very clever in its design but offering lots of tactical options and decisions for the player. A highly recommended set of rules.

We’re looking forward to trying the Horse and Musket set next for some F&IW fun and smuggling games in Dorset.

Old Tom tries to make a run for it through the town of Beaverlick Falls just prior to being shot in the back, a common theme of the day. Excellent games and great photos.

Shot in the back you say?

My favourite image but least favourite moment: my ‘Raging’ Raol had spent 3 turns dragging the treasure as he crawled 2” at a time to the board exit and the win. With only 4” to go, Tim’s Colonel  catches up and shoots Raoul in the back. Darn it!

You do realise Harvey, this lot’s new FFOL obsession is all your fault?  lol

Great terrain, wonderful figures and some very dodgy characters pushing them around.  :D  What more could you ask for.

What a wonderful day all round.
Thanks, chaps!
 :D

Oh, and we do not condone shooting anyone in the back (unless it is necessary, of course...).

We leave that kind of behaviour to the likes of Blood and Tarquin......
