Although I haven't been too active recently LAF has made a huge difference for me in terms of keeping me in touch with the hobby, which has had a surprising effect on my "real" life too.

I have also made some good friends here too.

Thanks for everything that you have done for the forum, the hobby and for me (esp my lovely painted minis!)

Another thank you to the Prof (not sure that I qualify for first name terms).  As with many others, I have found a fantastic community on LAF.  I came here a couple of years after the demise of the UK Conf-federation, which was a really friendly forum and much missed.  To find LAF was a joy, because it covered so many genres and age groups.

Prof, you created a fantastic community forum and I only hope that you will remain with us as a "customer".  Thank you.

Nick - welcome to the wheelhouse.  I wish you luck, I'm sure that all of the current contributors will support you as they have the Prof.

What Ho Chaps.

The new nest for LAF is nearly ready. It's looking much like this one, which is good news. The Prof. has been fully involved, making sure everything is in place.

We're not sure if we can bring the original banner over. If we can't, we'll store it somewhere safe where you can view it nostalgically and get our Kev Dallimore to work on something new.

There will be at least a days down time in the swop over, we'll give you plenty of warning as to when that day is, but it'll be soon.

Good question Mick. It's not a conversation I've had with the Prof. yet.

Right now I'm doing this all at my expense, and I wasn't looking at remuneration.

I'd had plans to offer some stuff to members direct that would help pay for the time spent on admin. One of those, I've not mentioned this anywhere else, is Mr Copplestone is making an exclusive to LAF members only miniature, as a way of celebrating the handover. I'll let you know more soon.
