Hero Minis Thread/Sticky?

(1/7) > >>

Hat Guy:
There have been a few threads around lately about people looking for certain heroes outside of Heroclix/Knight Models offerings. I was wondering if we want and/or need a thread (possibly a sticky) for people looking for more obscure and/or specific hero minis?

In response people can post "not-" versions, conversions and kitbashes to help each other out.

Just a thought.

Munindk:
That sounds like a great idea, a lot of the other subforums have similar threads.

A few Hasslefree (UK) suggestions:
Marvels (Netflix) Jessica Jones: http://www.hfminis.co.uk/shop?product=pulse~hfa168&category=modern-%26%0D%0Apost%252dapoc~modern-adventurers
Marvels Kingpin (works for most comicbook versions and Netflix): http://www.hfminis.co.uk/shop?product=leonard~hfa155&category=modern-%26%0D%0Apost%252dapoc~modern-adventurers
They also have a not Hellboy: http://www.hfminis.co.uk/shop?product=harby~hfa037&category=modern-%26%0D%0Apost%252dapoc~modern-adventurers
A not Kickass: http://www.hfminis.co.uk/shop?product=aaron~hfa071&category=modern-%26%0D%0Apost%252dapoc~modern-adventurers

Crossover miniatures (US) have a whole line of supers and villains:
http://crossoverminiatures.com/product-category/heroes/
For us europeans, minibits (UK) sell them too: http://www.minibits.net/Crossover-Miniatures-c25/

If you need a lot of civilians 1:48 (for 28mm) model train figures are great, easily found on ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw=1%3A48+model+railway+people&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.X1%3A48+model+train+figure.TRS0&_nkw=1%3A48+model+train+figures&_sacat=0

If you're into 15mm supers Rebel Miniatures (US) have both heroes http://www.rebelminis.com/15suhepa.html and villains http://www.rebelminis.com/15suvi.html. They also have some usefull ninjas, cops and soldiers.
For 15mm civilians, look for 1:100 model train figures on ebay.

Hat Guy:
Sorry it took me a while to get back to this, been a busy week at work.

Those who read my blog (https://leadcapes.blogspot.com.au/) will know that I cast a pretty wide net over "superheroes", so some of what I throw up may not be entirely people in capes and tights.

Studio Miniatures (http://www.studiominiatures.com/index.php?option=com_k2&view=itemlist&layout=category&task=category&id=3&Itemid=383)

The "survivor" range has some good interpretations of cult film characters that can fit the "hero" mold:
Ash (Evil Dead)
The Terminator
John McClaine (Die Hard)
Snake Plissken (I heard he was dead?)
Nick Fury
Machete
Chuck Norris
Lara Croft
Jack and Egg (Big Trouble in Little China)
Indiana Jones

Just to name a few. Nice minis too, I have a few.

Ultravanillasmurf:
There are a number of miniatures from Crooked Dice that fit the bill:
Lawmen (and women)
Ninjas (and Daughters of Shiva) - actually a lot of Shiva comes in Hand-y.
Heroes and villains tick a number of boxes.

There are some (of my painted) examples on the not-Defenders thread (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=106864.0) and the A.G.E.N.T.S. label on my blog (and a thread here).

Hat Guy:
Just to fill out the roster from Hasslefree (http://www.hfminis.co.uk/)

Oakley - Ash (Evil Dead)
Tomoko - The Major (Ghost in the Shell)
Isseki - Bateu (Ghost in the Shell)
Destiny - Misty Knight/Cleopatra Jones (Marvel)
Lisa Lambaste - Ramona Flowers (Scott Pilgrim)
Maya - Lana (Archer)
Jashun Shaw - Sterling Archer (Archer)
Jynx - Scarlet Witch (MCU)
Rowen - Gwenpool (Marvel)
Foster - Jack Burton (Big Trouble in Little China)
Alex H - Deadpool (Marvel)
Dionne - Black Widow/Jedda Walker (Marvel/The Phantom)

Plus there are several "not-Buffy" figs, but I never got into it, so someone else will have to name those.
