The horse crap is a mixture of static grasses and clump foams, dropped into a pot containing waterproof PVA, Vallejo Air Mud Brown and a little water to reach a moveable consistency. A little at a time, it was then plopped onto the tile and moved around with the edges of the pooling paint thinned and blended with a wetted brushed.

Cheers Steve.

I’ve been quietly busy with quite a few minis painted or being painted for the LPL; images will follow when the relevant rounds are done and dusted.  :)

I’ve started on the first section of Cobbled Road (yes I know they’re actually setts  ;)).

It uses a piece of 3mm thick MDF cut 300mm by 75mm, with a smoothed smear of green stuff or milliput into which I have impressed each block. I estimate there are about 4,000 of them on this block, and I found it was significantly less tedious if carried out while drinking beer. Cheers!

In reality the section is 302mm long as I had to add a plasticard strip at each end to match the dimensions of the building tiles, which have plasticard added for their kerbstones.

This is a test piece. It hasn’t warped yet but there’s still painting to come .......

The manhole cover to the right is a laser etching by OSHIROmodelterrain. In game play terms I’d like to allow movement  through the sewers though the actual building of sewers seems unlikely (I have a lot of ground level buildings yet to make).

My entry from LPL Round 1, which had a Gothic Horror theme, though I’m intending that all my LPL2019 entries will be for this ‘Whitechapel Horror!’ project.

Home from a fangtastic night!

The Lord of The Whitehall Coven Jacques L’Ancien, returns to his nest at the slaughterhouse, accompanied by his dastardly henchmen and the wolf-dog that will guard him while he sleeps.

He’s a reminder of the constituent minis, Jacques being a Project Z conversion. The Hansom Cab is a scratchbuild of which there are many WIP images earlier in the thread.

No doubt I’ll add more photos later.  :)

Gang troubles has always been a plan for the set up - in time the layout will have two pubs as respective bases. In the meantime, certain LAFers are also persuading me towards alternative history with a Prussian invasion of Britain.  :o :D
