Neandertals and Cro Magnon - Time to talk
« on: February 04, 2018, 04:46:57 PM »

I would like to believe that it was not all about war between Neandertals and the Cro Magnon people.

So here is a little scenery about a meeting between tribal mother Lame Getra of the Neandertals and  Cro Magnon boss Menhir Fivetusks.

Minis are from Lucid Eyes Savage Core line, which you can buy for example at Miniaturicum.de.

Too old to Rock'n'Roll, too young to die, perfect for tabletop adventures;)

Nice work. I love the terrain.

Unfortunately, my painting skills with figures are only basic. Far away from this level for example: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=71088.0. Will focus on terrain :)

Maybe the human skull she is holding is a peace offering  ;)

Nothing wrong with your painting -very tidy!

If you wanted to experiment, I’d suggest using a wash, as it would really bring out some of the finer details on the figures, but they look great as is.

Good point ;) Let us assume that this skull was not once inside an enemy head but is that of an honoured ancestor.

And that's why Europeans have about 4% Neanderthal DNA in their genome!

A great idea for a vignette. And I am very impressed by your earthwork. Very realisitc. Did you use herbs for the leaves?

Anyway - I would support AKULA just try some washes on the skin and the skull as your drybrushing with the fur and hair is better then basic.

But one question left - why do you put them in a tupperbox - to keep them fresh?

yap, mixed some spices for pizza and some crushed and cut reindeer moss for the leaves.

I usually store my vignettes in the fridge - no seriously. It is for dust protection. How is that?

You need a lot of these sweety boxes. Hard work to empty them :)

So it looks like this:

Ah okay - exelent idea! Thanks for charing.

I just found this "riot in a jar": https://dolls.wonderhowto.com/news/riot-jar-0124365/ But to empty mixed pickles is not as even hard.
