Never underestimate my ability to get entangled in more projects that I can deal with!

This story begins (as usual) years ago, when I got the new Space Hulk... and never went further than storaging the box since then

. That never prevented me from getting the Overkill game and... well, you can guess it

Anyway, that's enough! I've put my hands on these four armed gentlemen. I've started with the Space Hulk Genestealers. I decided to paint all of them in a row, as I find it easier and less exhausting.

After spending some time deciding what colours would best fit them, I finally opted for a kind of classic approach. Blue for the chitinous parts then; but for the fleshy parts I didn't want straight purple, so I mixed it with flesh tones. That gives them a more natural feeling and will help me to tie these minis with the Hybrids from Overkill.

In this kind of projects I always tend to make slight conversions. Repositioning arms, swapping heads... But this time I just painted them, it was the only way of having them finished and keeping sanity

. I don't think any conversion work would have been noticed among this whirlwind of claws and jaws anyway.

They look spectacular! I love the subtle purple in the skin tones. The bold blue carapace highlighting works really well too.

A scary bunch of apex predators.

What colour are you going to go for with regard to cultist uniforms? Orange would contrast superbly

The Cult has started! Those four armed people now have someone who worship them. Here you have the Magus:

The robes had to be garnished to make his position evident in the Cult. Maybe too much curtain-like, but who am I to judge about fashion within Genestealers.

The Genestealer Primus is quite different, as he is supposed to be the military leader of the uprising miners, so he is more like one of them:

There are two familiars in the command sprue. As I have not read the Overkill rulebook, I have no idea of their purpose in the game. Tiny Genestealer Gollums, I an work with that for the moment:

Love the magus robes, if they were deep red than I might have thought curtains but it's fine as it is.

It was always one of those things I always wanted to do, was make a Genestealer Cult. I don’t play 40k any more, but. May still do it one day!

I'd probably go with one of the ones from Daruma Productions, they have several like this one:
