I'm very impressed with that. Where is the patriarch model from? Space Hulk box or just a regular GW creation.

Super painting on the Magus robes Suber! The weathering on the mining tank is amazing too. Great collection mate.

Cheers

Thank you all! The basic shape and stuff is quite simple, but the details took longer than the room itself.

Might I suggest a bit more dirt, darkness and detritus in the corners?

You are totally right, now that you mention, it looks quite obvious to me. Thank you, I'll solve that!

It's the one from the Overkill box:

I cut it at the waist and made some greenstuff work on all the belly to make him fat and bloated like the old model ::)

It's taken me some time, but I have a second room for my Genestealer dungeon ;D. I wanted to use the rest of the Hobbit core box scenery, so I needed to build a proper space. Foam board and 1 Kg of Das (yes, I used a full kilo set ;D)

You will see it better with some paint on...

The idea is having a large hall with small caverns around, where the Genestealers and the Hybrids dwell and hide from the Imperial society on the surface until the moment arrives.

Next stage was painting the wooden platforms:

This is the basic disposition:

Unfortunately I don't have all the rubbish I would have liked to deploy in my bits box. Well, less is more:

"I told you to take that other turn"

I don't know how I am going to store them :?

Anyway, two rooms make a dungeon :D

I have more plans and silly ideas; still to prove if they are achievable though ;D

Love them Suber.. I hope you have big storage space for them and do much more.
Although I would do them sans one wall for better gaming visibility and display potential.
You could have backgrounds for many Lead Painter League rounds :P

They would be better having a open/removable wall

Thank you!
I really want the rooms to have four walls when possible. I pretend the dungeon to be immersive, oppressive; that the Space Marine player feels suffocated, as you might expect from a Space Hulk :D. I will necessarily have to break the fourth wall (quite literally) for some of the rooms I have in mind, but I'll build the four walls whenever it is feasible. I believe that the fact of having the platforms and caves both sides in this large room reflects the atmosphere I want to achieve.
I'd like to explore the 3D aspect and build an abandoned mine/catacombs/whatever with two or three levels, but that involves a degree of planification I haven't even started yet to think about! :D

After having a couple of rooms, I now needed some corridors for the dungeon. I took the easy path, just foamcore and Das putty:

I stuck to the mine vibe, so they all are irregular, just excavated on the rock and with girders to underpin the structure. I took it one step further and dared to paint some decorations on the walls. Some kind of ancient language, only used by the Cult, to add this kind of ritual sense to the thing.

This is all I have for the moment:

The corridors are really narrow. But that's the whole point of it, these are not the Mines of Moria, just catacombs, mines and abandoned underground places. I think this is how a Space Hulk like board should feel, suffocating and uneasy. The Space Marine player must really feel anguish every turn (that's what metagame means for me, not that other absurd meaning people use ;D)

Many more pics and story hee:

More stuff to come!

You are metagaming flamers here  lol

Seriously I love them, I wish I had your terrain making stamina.. I started to do walls for Necromunda boards and I totally lost interest after 3 :(
