Right then, tile 2.

Got a couple of quick photos but will have better ones later in the week when there’s more substance to the tile.

I’ve gone for a mix of Georgian and Victorian this time. The blank space next to the arch will be a full scratch build and probably rendered with a couple of gables. The Georgian house will have a mansard (with projecting windows and tiled sides). The clear looking building will probably be changed for a slightly wider pub with an angled door in the corner.

Now there will be some areas that have overlapping windows and walls so I’m thinking of having some brick or rendered ‘blanking plates’ to fill the gaps where windows probably shouldn’t be.
cheers

I don't think there's anything I can say that hasn't already been said. Excellent buildings as always. I think the wooden clapboard is a fantastic piece of work and the rendered side of the same building also.
The roof slates look laser cut, are they yours or warbases and please don't say you cut them individually or someone needs to send for the men in white coats.

The window 'glass' in the wood building looks better than the brick one, but maybe if you are putting interiors in to the brick one that will change.

Do you envisage figures using the building interiors, I imagine it's a long way down, 3 floors looks to be about 10" presumably you will have individual levels that lift out? Sounds madness.

Lastly the cobble setts look way better than any commercial ones because you don't have join lines visible, even with duff thumbs. Thanks for showing the brass tools to create this, I bought some of the same foam to do the same thing but of course not got round to it.
How do you think it will stand up to your gamers leaning on it and creating additional indentations. Maybe chop the hands off the first one to do it and it's no longer a worry. :D :D
Excellent just excellent

I like the idea of the angled building corner. You could even have a third tile with an open backed yard going into the street/Alley corresponding with the pub rear that could either be used in conjunction with the pub tile or separately.

If that made any sense?

The tiles are from here (scroll to the bottom) http://www.oshiromodelterrain.co.uk/victorianbuildings.html . A few years ago I would've done them by hand but not anymore  ;)

Interiors will just be roof access and if the figure is in that space then it is assumed it will be in the house somewhere. Haven't tried it yet so we'll have to see, which leads onto the windows bit. For now I would like to detail the lower floors on some of the buildings just because so in the brick building case they will probably stay a they are.  The chaps I game with are gentle souls really and it's usually me who's the clumsy one  lol

If that made any sense?

Just about  ;)

Lovely stuff mate! :o My only concern is the amount of space you’ll have to play in around the outside of those buildings, in that last pic, it looks a bit tight! :?

Yeah, it is a bit cramped but the buildings are removable so once movement and range measuring are done they will get replaced to keep the aesthetic  :)

The thing is you see, I know the widths between the buildings but no one else does  ;) ;)

Well, I managed to get my gang sorted, Bilbbly's Bashers. A rough set of northern coves come down to the big smoke to cause a bit of a rumpus  :D

And here's them looking for a night out on the town  lol
