Thanks chaps  :)

Although I'm NOT building The Great Western  ;D

Mastering some walls that will be cast up. The pillar cap will be drawn up and printed. The walls will surround the shipyard hence why I will need a lot of them. Debating on fancy gates or utilitarian wooden ones  ???

cheers

James

Fancy gates for horse-drawn carriages, and a wooden one designed for just pedestrians?

Unfortunately you can't see much of the actual gates, but this is a nice one of the entrance.

If you are ever in the area, Portsmouth dockyards are well worth a visit.
Not just those gates, but also:-
H.M.S. Victory; The Mary Rose; a recently restored WW1 'patrol boat; H.M.S. Warrior
(this one scared the French as it was the first British warship to have washing machines!);
several museums (both in the docks & within a few miles) Gift shops & eateries,
then a short boat/taxi ride to Gosport will get you to the Submarine museum.
The last time I went they pointed out to me that the ticket is valid for a year, so you
can go back.

So, some slipway progress. Just the entrance for now, still working on the side walls. I think I'll have some clear but dirty glazing above the brickwork; maybe 20mm or so before the roof starts to angle upwards. The doors slide as we might have need for it in normal games. Brick sheet supplies will hopefully be here tomorrow  :)

Very probably as the walls will be sectional.

If you are ever in the area, Portsmouth dockyards are well worth a visit.

Have been a few times and will no doubt go again as I haven't seen the Mary Rose out of 'continment'.

Thanks  :)

Painted the front and back of the front elevation. To make it easy to store I'll be magnetising the walls and possibly roof. I've got some white decals on order that I'll use for the lettering; hopefully it won't go wrong  o_o

I actually messed up the side walls yesterday so will be starting them again  ::)

This is not modelling or painting, this is pure witchcraft! o_o

Seriously, I love every single bit of this.

Thank you kindly gents  :)

is the brick work printed parer or painted ?

All painted, sprays, speckles, inks, drybrushing and washes.

Got some weathering done on a section of dockside and put the two together (even though they won’t be together on the table).

Great stuff. Love the gritty look to the brickwork.
