What about drains?

Manhole covers lead to sewers.  I think this is literally a slippery slope to getting some really nice resin sewers.

It’s a single piece with lasered score lines. I thought about doing it in styrene and scoring by hand but that would mean removing the burs and I had a bit of space left on the sheet of card so did it this way.

Thanks for that. I am contemplating creating a similar effect across some MDF buildings. Lacking the laser I might go for cut out card pieces from a computer design.

Started painting and got the bulk of it done. Still a fair amount to do though.

That sounds like a good idea and I’d probably do it that way myself if I didn’t have laser access.

Looking good old chum. Those colours work.

I'd go for a cobblestone yard...

With drains.....

Which lead to sewers.....  :)
Don't!

Managed to paint a fledgling from Highgate Miniatures (link below the photos).

It was a lot easier to paint than I first thought and I’m looking forward to doing more  :)

Lovely work, the colour palette is very effective, particularly how the pallid skin works with the muted clothing colours.
