Fistful of Lead: Horse and Musket - F&IW AAR
« on: February 09, 2018, 10:56:03 PM »
Played a three way game of FfoL:H&M set in the F&IW.   Settlers, Indians and Rangers all looking to take control of a small settlement. Not the best quality pictures but they do convey the flavour of the game.

The peaceful settlement before the action.

Rangers approach the buildings using the cover of the cornfields to the West

While the Settlers head in from the South

And the Milice and Indians approach from the East.

The Rangers spot the Indians and open fire, one shot, one kill - first blood to the Rangers

The Settlers open fire on the Indians and drop another brave

This became a theme of the game, with the Indians and Milice dropping like flies amongst the Settler's and Ranger's bullets

All three sides continue to exchange musket fire and there are casualties on all sides

With the Rangers holed up in the cover of the cornfield, the Settler's head man moves in across the pig pen to lay on some cold steel

While Chief Stanley Short Socks, at this point the last remaining Indian, moves up to take on the Ranger's other flank

Stanley Short Socks takes on the Ranger Captain and one of his men in a desperate hand to hand struggle

and the game culminated in the Battle of the Pumpkin Patch

Another highly enjoyable game using the 'Fistful of Lead' rules which are highly recommended for fun, narrative skirmish games that you can fight in a few hours.

Great looking game. Those cornfields really are a different level.

Great fun, loving the Fistful of Ead rules very much. Easy to play, very little referring to the rule book, simpe mechanics and a clever card operated move sequence.
Can't wait to try the SciFi version.
Highly recommended unless you are playing the Canadians and Huron. Them you get picked on. ;) lol

No it’s either Jimmy or Marky. From the angle I can’t quite tell.

They feature heavily in most of our F&IW games. lol

Very nice. I especially like the pumpkin patch, are they commercial or home 'grown' ?

Lovely looking game. James has been telling me of the move to FFoL. How many figures can the rules handle.
