Mega Space Hulk (three sets, eight players!)
« on: February 11, 2018, 09:56:50 PM »
Read about the massive Space Hulk game we put on last night at the Second Saturday Scrum Club. It involved three copies of the game entirely filling our 38"x90" dining room table. We had six Space Marine players and two genestealer players. This is the stuff that dreams are made of!

Read about the game and see some photos at my blog, Scrum in Miniature: https://miniaturescrum.blogspot.com/2018/02/mega-space-hulk-game.html

Great blog post, glad that you got to fulfill this decades long ambition and had such fun doing it.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

Certainly looks like you all had a good time! You fellas have worked fast from first con to hosting big games in 7 months!
Congratulations.
My nephew and I played SH for the first time this summer.I bought the game for the Termies for 40k and sold the Genestealers off. The game sat on my shelf ever since and this summer we got bored and decided to play it.What a cool game we were missing out on!
We were thinking of playing a bigger game too but we only have the one copy. But I also have all the 30k/40k stand alone games they made and they have game boards too. They don't all match up perfect but there are a lot of bigger rooms on those boards. Also think of trying the new 40k terrain out and going another level. I havnt tried out how everything fits yet but it might work....

Wow!  :o  :o That was truly epic. Please once you have playtested things enough post a copy of the room cards. I also think the squad card was a brilliant idea. This is one of my favorite games and would love to play it on that grand scale.

Thanks! Will definitely let folks know when the cards are ready to be shared...maybe sometime after the summer convention season.

For the curious, one of the players also wrote up a nice blog post on our game with more pictures.

You can find it here: https://misternizz.wordpress.com/2018/02/12/mega-space-hulk-its-a-thing/
