Medieval Graveyard
« on: May 11, 2019, 11:48:51 AM »
Hi
Finally finished a long planned medieval graveyard, to sit alongside my church.
Tried to create this on the few images I could find of contemporary graveyards.

It'll have its first outing at Partizan next week, as the church for Bauge 1421 game.
More about it on my blog: https://harness-and-array.blogspot.com

Cheers, Simon.

Well that's nice!

I've been thinking of getting those same rendered walls from Debris of War, but haven't yet decided what to use them for....

I'll make sure to come and see it at Partizan.

Charlie - many thanks.
The Debris of War walls are very useful - they are moulded as stone and I've added the render with Polyfilla.
Look forward to a chat next weekend.
Simon.

As soon as I saw you’d made a graveyard, I thought ‘I bet I know exactly who is going to be appearing in there as gravediggers...’ sure enough  lol

Surely a guest appearance by Yorick’s skull is required though...  ;)

Very nicely done, as ever, Simon.

That looks fabulous - like the manuscript pic as research. Look forward to seeing it for real at Partizan.

That’s a very nice piece.  And I do like the idea:
“Along the open side of the yard, I've embedded small magnets. This will allow me to add/remove a temporary hedge”
It strikes me you could add another graveyard using that method, making it even more flexible.
