Am focused by impending hip replacement, although original date has been deferred.

This is a very nice project - well done. :-*

I notice that you are basing the figure in groups - what rules are you using?

To answer the questions:-
1. Rules?
We shall use a mash up of Neil Thomas’ rules ~ Ancient & Medieval and Pike & Shotte ~ together with our own additions. In this case an ‘army’ can be as few as 8 bases.
2. The figure in question.
From a now defunct range for The Orc’s Nest in London. I got it via a second hand figure stand at Wargamer because it was sculpted by Matt.

Fantastic stuff David, I'm a big fan of Neil Thomas's rules as well, can't wait to see them in action :)

The base for the overall command in my Italian Wars collection, Cesare Borgia ~

As ever, more over on the blog.

Andrew Taylor of Antediluvian Miniatures kindly provided me with the figure to use as the Pope in my Italian Wars collection. He is from their latest character set sculpted by Matt ~

There is a little more about him over on my blog of course.

Wonderful stuff.

I've been painting that same horse you have Cesare Borgia sitting on this week, though with a different figure mounted on it. With all those tassels and wotnot it was a right bloody pain. Lots of mistakes and retouchings.  So respect. :)

Thanks Plynkes! The horse in question was a real challenge in white, more than once I wished I’d chosen a bay. Next, a base of Italian spearman I’ve just finished ~

Not the best of pictures I know, but that’s everything to date. Please note the buildings are in a state of unfinishedness!

Lovely! Is there to be more, for a big old mass-battle, or is this to be a more skirmishy sort of affair?

Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing you and Phil lock horns.
