Lovely painting.  Can I ask who makes the figures and are you going to show a shot from the front?

Thanks guys. The figures are from The Assault Group, and I have just added a photo from the front (which I meant to do originally, but was rushing).

Thanks very much.  They look just as good (or even better) from the front as the back.

Perfect! You did an excellent job with your subdued color palette! The look real! And very good sculpts, too!

Thanks again for the kind words.

I was definitely trying to keep the colour palette under control with the Akinjis, as opposed to the Sipahis of the Porte where I allowed myself a little more licence.

If nothing else this project is teaching me that Napoleonics are far easier in terms of the rate of production, and not having to sit and stare at pots of paint for half an hour at a time and wondering what might work.

I have managed to complete the remaining Akinjis this week:

I do like their look. Almost too smart and professional for a lot of irregular hangers-on!

Fantastic painting   :-* :-* but I can understand why you might not want to paint any more for a while.  :D

Thanks for the comments. The TAG figures are very nice to paint, but I'm happy I only needed the eighteen stands in total.
