How I do it - The short version
With airbrush:
1 - Never paint the tracks, it's a waiste of time!
2 - Vallejo UK Bronze Green Primer - all miniature surface (forgett the tracks
)
3 - 1st highlight - VJ Brown Violet
4 - 2nd highlight - VJ Russian Uniform
With brush:
1 - finally the tracks: A mix of big splashes all over the tracks (make it personal)- very important, apply while all the washes are wet:
1st - Ammo Tracks Wash (all over the tracks)
2nd - Ammo Light Rust Wash (splashes here and there) while wet
3rd - Ammo Earth Wash (splashes here and there)
4rd - let it dry (over the night)
2 - Paint the stowage, guns (VJ metal gun) and all the vehicle detail.
3- Decals (Micro set and Micro Sol solutions)
Airbrush again:
VJ Polyurethane gloss varnish (to protect the paint)
Now, back to the brush:
1 - Pin wash with Ammo Dark Wash (clean the blotches with an wet white spirit brush)
2 - add some weathering on the edges with VJ Iraqui Sand and Panzer Grey, with a very fine brush - Ruben Terragosa technique)
3 - Sponge technique, remember, some times less is more, don't over use it.
1st - VJ iraqui sand
2nd - VJ panzer grey
4 - Ammo Rainmarques Efects and Streaking Rust Efects (like this
)
5 - Ammo turn Dirt (like this
)
6 - Oil and fuel stains - VJ weathering effects
7 - P3 Armor wash on MG's
Finally:
VJ Polyurethane matt varnish with airbrush
Cheers
