PLUCK YOUR BEST PAINTED FIGURES OFF THE SHELF AND BRING THEM TO HAMMERHEAD ON SATURDAY 28th APRIL



Wargames Illustrated will be running the inaugural painting competition at Hammerhead 2018, this coming Saturday. Why not bring along your best paint jobs to the show and enter them for a chance to win a trophy and some great prizes.

The painting comp will be organized along the same lines as the one we run across the pond at Historicon.

Come and find us at GB41 and TB15 to enter your figures into the competition, or to check out the talent on display.

HERE’S THE TEN CATEGORIES

1. Historical Single Miniature
A single figure, foot or mounted, for any historical period.

2. Historical Unit/War Machine
Any unit of 3 or more models (foot or mounted) or a single vehicle or war machine with crew, for any historical period.
 
3. Fantasy Single Miniature
A single figure, foot or mounted, for non-historical genres including fantasy and steampunk.

4. Fantasy Unit/War Machine
Any unit of 3 or more models or a single vehicle, or war machine with crew, for non- historical genres including fantasy and steampunk.

5. Sci-Fi Single Miniature
A single figure, foot or mounted, for non-historical genres including science fiction, Weird War, and post-apocalyptic.
 
6. Sci-Fi Unit/War Machine
Any unit of 3 or more models or a single vehicle or a war machine with crew, for non- historical genres including science fiction, Weird War, and post-apocalyptic.

7. Youth Category
A single figure, foot or mounted, any period or genre, for painters 16 and younger.

8. Open Category
Any model, vignette, or diorama of any scale, up to 8" x 8" x 8", any period or genre.

9. Kallistra – Historical
Any historical unit of 12mm figures manufactured by Kallistra – the hosts of Hammerhead.

10. Kallistra – Fantasy
Any fantasy unit of 12mm figures manufactured by Kallistra – the hosts of Hammerhead.

HAMMERHEAD SHOW CANCELLED

On the advice of the local constabulary, and given the adverse weather conditions, the Hammerhead show on Saturday 3rd March has been cancelled.

BUT, fear not - the show has been re-scheduled for Saturday 28th April, when all we'll have to contend with is an April shower or two!

Seems a long time since shows did a painting completion (Salute apart?) seems it used to be a stable part of a show- good move IMHO and so will be interesting to see how well supported this gets (now in April).
