Alternate initiative for Super Mission Force?

I'll admit I haven't read the rules too thoroughly but I am thinking of using an activation system similar to Bolt Action where you place X colored tokens in a bag (where X= number of figures on your side) and you can alternate pulling out tokens to see which side activates.
I think bonuses to initiative could be extra tokens in the bag but I am not sure.
Any ideas?

The rules already provide you two methods to use, and either of them work very well.  The normal non-card version works best for me, and gives the right feel for the genre and action. 

Or course if you want to do something different though, you can certainly do that.

I personally really dislike the BA method, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
