Nice work, mate.
The bases look very 'Endor'.

Without being too daft - what do you use for the bases, because they're ace too :D

Cheers again fellas  :)

Without being too daft - what do you use for the bases, because they're ace too :D

The bases for Endor are 2mm acrylic with some gloop applied (the gloop is a mix of filler, glue, paint and very fine sand). it's roughly painted and inked and given a thin, uneven layer of small, mixed green spongy flock. Suitable 'ferns' and plants are then stuck on.

The Tatooine bases are again 2mm acrylic but this time with sand glued on and a layer of textured masonry paint applied over this, a thin wash of the GW warm brown ink (can't remember the stupid name) is put on and then mostly dabbed off with a tissue.

The same methods apply for the larger bases as well.
cheers

James

Got persuaded to make a quickie bunker entrance for an Endor game on Tuesday (as if I didn’t have enough to do already  ::) ). Lasered walls with styrene additions. Quite a few things ‘wrong’ with it but it’ll certainly do for a game. Still needs a baseboard as well and I’ve started to rough that out.

The colour might be a bit wrong but I had to use my Tamiya sprays as they’re the only ones that give a decent finish in this heat.

This thread's a bit good! The bunker looks great.

As a long time fan of all things desert, all the desert legion stuff coming out is looking like a bit of a godsend!

Honestly I can't see a single thing taht is wrong - that one would be more than good enough for me to have it on any table! Great work.

It looks great.  :-*

I recently bought the Multiverse Gaming Terrain Imperial Bunker, which is a poor man's version of your bunker.
I have not built it yet.
