Size Comparison DUST, K47 and Project X
« on: March 04, 2018, 10:50:58 AM »

I am looking at expanding my DUST forces to add some basic infantry for playing Konflikt 47.  Has anyone got any comparison shots of DUST infantry with K47 or Project X figures?

I am wondering if I can use the DUST figures aqs heavy infantry, etc alongside K47 stuff or I should use Project x as that is a similar scale?

Will DUST work better removed from its bases and based more conventionally?

thanks

Mike

Konflikt 47 is "Heroic" 28mm, Project X is 40mm, no idea about DUST.

Dust is 1:48 as is Projectx - 36mm, just not sure how big BA figures are and how they look against larger figures... even if I use them as ordinary infantry and Dust as heavy/super soldiers....

Dust and warlord games plastics really aren't that far apart in size.  I will try and take some pics when I get back to the ranch.

I have dug some figures out from the back of the display cabinet (they were rightly hiding behind some crates).

These are so old that I cannot remember who sold Project X at that time. There is a British infantry man (strange colour uniform for reasons I will not go into) from an associated range.

Starting with a comparison of a Project X German powered suit (1/48) and a 28mm Warlord Games Konflikt 47 British Galahad powered suit.

Warlord Games 28mm Blitzkrieg German and Project X powered suit.

1/48 British infantry man and Warlord Games 28mm Blitzkrieg Germans.

1/48 scale Project X British powered suit and British Infantry man.

I must update/complete the paint jobs at some time.

Hopefully before the heat death of the universe....

@ Ultravanillasmurf

Thanks - that is really helpful - they really don't look that different in size barring the different base heights.  I'd simply go with the Scarab Miniatures 1/48 figures except I'd like to use some of the warlord creatures, etc in the future so had wondered about using the Bolt Action figures as basic infantry as well.  Or maybe I'll do both?

Just a word to the wise, Scarab miniatures are particularly large (nearly 50mm), even though they're labelled as1/48 size. I found I was only able to use one or two of them.
