Thanx....
On day 7 of this little project **GS** was visiting Berlin, so we took the oportunity to get a little NWF game on the way.....
So I squeezed my plastik minis and some bark terain in my rucksack and headed to my university.
An old friend joined in so we were: DV vs. Lars plus **GS**.
I scratch build a small scenario on the fly...some kind of game mastered.
Just took a few pics in my office...wonderfull if you can combine work and play.....
We played heavily house ruled "Path to Glory" rules (Disposable Heroes in WWI).
The Brits were divided in two groups with common goals.
But first we diced out wich Lieutanant was longer commissioned (one of my favorite scenes in ZULU)...
Lars won and so he was in overall command.
The main goal of the British was to capture Abdullah Khan a local warlord, who was just trying to unite the local tribes aganinst the English....
As a bribe he has hidden a few crates of martini rifles in the area (must be secured by the British).
Here is the small troope for Lars.
Two small firegroups of regular brits, one captured mountain gun (plus donkey) und and a few sikhs.
...and the colour party of the regiment.
The Troops Lt. **GS**.
A handsome unit of Highlanders, some sikhs (borought from my darkest africa project) and a regulare unit of english. Additionaly there was a land suveyor, who wanted to reach the near mountains (got additional victory points if he reached the other side of the field) with his stalwart servant and his dog Bobby.
And the britsich get victory points if they manage to clear the watch tower.
From the game itself there are sadly few pics...
Had to much to do with eating and drinking....
In the end the English were all victorious: the land surveyor reached the mountains, the watchtower was silenced and the afghan leader was captured.....
Only the Martinis were not found...
A pleasent little game and quite enjoyable for just one week of preparation.
Cheers,
Don
